The countdownt to Halloween

Yes, I still read to them, and, thanks to them, my lap is plenty big enough to hold them both!

Today we went to a Halloween party at the Officers Club on base. Ava has been begging to wear her fairy costume for ages, and as you can see, she is quite happy! (The wand is homemade!) Eli is my rather reluctant chicken...ah hem...rooster.

One day there will be some serious complaining about the handmedown costumes....I never SAID I wanted to be a rooster or a chicken....I WANTED to be a PILOT- remember the pumpkin with the aiplane carved into it???? -mimi

Very sweet! My kiddos love when we read books too...all the time! It's adorable as they each have learned to back their little "booties" up and land on my lap so I can read to them. The hard part is trying to read to the three of them at once...each one of course wants to read their own book.

The Halloween pics are adorable. I hope they had a great time. What's the tradition over there for Halloween?

I can just see that little rooster marching around the base, and the fairy flitting about. Perhaps that little chicken became less reluctant when he found that he could cross the street (with the fairy) to get to the Halloween candy...:)

They are adorable. I'm so glad they still love books. Love, Mom.
