While on Holiday

We recently went on holiday to Bath and Wales with Grammy. The pictures tell a better story than I can. I will just mention a couple of lessons that I learned on our trip...

1. My children can whine in harmony...for long periods of time...the volume/intensity of the whining is directly related to the tiredness/hungriness of afor mentioned children

2. A thirty pound 3 year old will crush a pet snail if she steps on it. She will then cry.

3. Birds will attack a one year old with a cracker. Then he will chase them.

4. My mother can look at rocks all day without getting bored.

5. My husband can also look at rocks all day without getting bored if the rocks form a wall /castle/ancient structure of some kind.

"Cwimb? Up?" Eli and the Rocks, and no, we did not let him climb them.
Here we are at Bath. A sad thing happened here.... As some of you may know Ava has had an imaginary friend named "Tomato" for the last 4-5 months. We don't like him very much because he tends to be very naughty. While in Bath, Ava informed us that her friend Tomato had climbed to the top of Bath Abbey (which you can see in the background). While we was up there he died...because he was old... RIP Tomato.
This one's for you Lora Lynn...Where are we??
Obviously climbing is exactly what we did!
Here we are at Southerndown Beach in Wales. This was the high point of the trip for the kids. I learned that Eric and I have spawned two baby mountain goats and my heart skipped a beat more than once as we played on the rocks...

Caerphilly Castle- This is leaningest leaning tower there is....Good job honey!

Here we are at Tinturn Abby (Wales)... At this point the kids were DONE!

Hi Ness, Eric, Mom, Ava, and Eli!!!
Looks like you had alot of fun today!!! I'm thinking about you all and love you ALOT! Love reading the blogs (I secretly check everyday while at work).

God Bless,
Bub

P.S. Mom, thanks for letting me borrow the car. Mine has been officially declared "totaled", but hopefully Geico will pay for it (though I remain dubious). I am now on the hunt for a POC car (piece of crap ~ edited for the kids...and mom). With a $2500 budget, I may settle for another $500.00 S10 rust bucket if I can find one...Wish me luck!

P.S.S. Mom, stop worrying. I'm alright, I just am perturbed at the timing of this....and the fact I'll will pay money (at least in the short term) for something that wasn't my fault. But as you'd say, I'm ok and that's all that matters...

Love ya'll!! I'll write again when you post some more on your blog! Look forward to hearing from and about ya....

Oh my gosh. You are so funny. Made me laugh. And looks like you had a total blast. Do you know, I'm not exactly sure where that picture is? My first instinct was to say that it was the "inn at lambton" where lizzy stayed when she and darcy fell in l-o-v-e. But maybe not. Because that wasn't in bath. Hmmm. I'm gonna ponder that and get back to you. Gotta turn on my Austen movie trivia portion of my brain. Miss you guys!
