Well ... life continues to move forward at Casa Conderman. Lots of changes in the air! First of all, Eli and I are doing a daily school day together. His reading is very improved, but it's his handwriting that deserves praise. It puts my and Ness' to shame! You should just see how carefully he writes every letter and how hard he is on himself whenever a letter does not meet his expectations. It's impressive.
On another note, Ness and I have also joined our children in TKD. (That's Taekwondo everyone :) ) We all are testing for new belts this Saturday, and Master Gerber is letting us older people double-test. It's fairly easy on this first step ... I wouldn't think of doing it for later belts! But hopefully by Saturday afternoon we should all be the same belt.
Ness continues to work at Open Door and I am all set for returning to work in 2 weeks. And of course Ava and Eli are wonderful. The dogs are crazy, the kitten won't stop attacking us at night, and we kicked Circe outdoors to pal around with another orphan kitty we've acquired (who's also a calico and a good mouser!) In other words, life is wonderful. And that just leaves an update on our Beautiful Monster. Ahem ...

I finally got around to completely redoing this sink Ness purchased about a month ago. And she found this antique and wanted me to turn the antique into a counter. I would NOT recommend trying to cut holes through shifting boards that were built to last, but 7 hours later (I'm not kidding and omg did I learn a lot about plumbing) it was all re-assembled with new parts. Looks pretty nice and Ness is pleased. Tomorrow I plan on taking the drawer and greatly shortening it so it fits but of course doesn't hit the pex or PVC.

And there has also been a lot of work done on the master bedroom. All that has really been done is the walls and ceiling, but it was so cracked and ugly that it took 9 buckets of mud and an entire bag of plaster to smooth it out. But it's done. next step ... sanding, a thin second coat of mud, and lots of paint!
And so we feel as if we are ALMOST ready to have people see the house. Almost ...
