I Don't Even Know What To Call This
Well ... I warned you.
But things are wonderful around here. The kids are making the world's largest train track with a friend of Eli's from pre-school. (Playdate = dad can get stuff done ... like a blog!) Ava is of course helping (directing), Ness is unfortunately working L&D but as most know by now has finished school and will soon be operating a clinic as a NP, and I am as always procrastinating from doing my grading of schoolwork. All is well :) So I just decided to add some pics for you all to enjoy.
Trees are still fun to climb. This one happens to be located near a really cool all-stone house in Pendleton.
And NO I (at 38) am not too old to climb with 'em.
The Children's Museum is still fun to go to. They have a new section on Rock N Roll. Lots of Elvis stuff donated by a "Jim Irsay" ... whoever that is.
The whole family went to a high school football game at my school. Shockingly, it was cold enough for sweatshirts. Where did the summer go?
Eli had fun! Hotdogs, M&M's, popcorn, and soda help.
Oh and lollipops. There were lollipops too. (Don't judge! Football games are special circumstances.)
For those who are not aware, the kids are into a new hobby. One day Ness went to Papa Johns to get a pizza when she noticed a promotion for a free week of martial arts lessons. Next thing we know, both kids are so into it, have both tested for their first belt, and are breaking boards. And they are developing body control believe it or not.
I just hope they learn that "with great power comes great responsibility". Especially this one who is regularly pitted against green belts and occasionally wins!
But seriously Master Gerber (5thDan TaeKwonDo and 5thDan Ju-Jitsu) is very good with them. A nice combo of fun and no nonsense.
After receiving their belts. Way to go!!!!!!
