Easter, Dinosaurs, and fractures...oh my...

Nothing says Happy Easter (a week late) than a picture of my kid's wrists. Wanna take a gander at which one is broken? And lets not talk about how many days it took her Mama to finally take her to the ER...
The yearly Kitchen, I mean, Egg coloring party!!
I'm not sure why we even bother with the little wire thingy...half the fun is seeing what shade of colorful we can turn Mommy's fingers!!
Now, for weeks, Ava has been hiding anything she can find to help Eli "practice" egg hunting so that he will be able to "do it right" at game time...and it seems like the student became the master as Eli found the most eggs! Ava did find the empty egg (symbolizing the empty tomb) so that made her happier than anything else!
Poor little Lily got a bit stuck under the table...but that girl did score herself some eggs!!
On the hunt!
Eli...yeah...I don't even know... I think he was excited about the prospect of all that candy.
Okay, now I must relate an Ava/Eli story from today...

I was trying to catch up on a little housework since this is the ONE day I have had off this week (between work and school)... you know, wiping up only those things you can see from at least 5 feet away... Anyway, I was letting the kids watch "Dinosaur Alive" clips on You Tube while I attempted to de-con the living room. I heard the following conversation....

Ava: Eli, this is going to be scary...the Allosaurus is going to bite the Brachiosaurus. Just hold my hand ok?

Eli: Oooo, there's T-Rex!

Ava: Now Eli, see the red spot on his head? And count his fingers...see? He has three fingers. That makes him an Allosaurus, not a T-Rex. You really need to learn your Allosauruses from your T-rexes. We will work on this.

Eli: Ok...this getting scary. What those dinosaurs doing now?

Ava:.....Huh....well, I guess they just have to climb on each other sometimes...huh....

Me: Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap.....different video kids! (Apparently "Dinosaur mating habits" quickly follows the "Allosaurus Attacks"...who knew?)
